Corrections Policy

Redmond Local Report relies heavily on accuracy and trustworthiness in its journalism. We aim to provide the Redmond community with decent, fact-based reporting of local news, events, and issues that impact them. Still, in case of an error, we will be the first ones to correct it quickly, fairly, and loudly to secure the integrity of our content and your trust.

Our commitment includes the following: The moment any factual error is disclosed, it does not matter whether it is a major one or a minor one; we will rectify it as soon as it is confirmed. Minor typographical errors or wrong grammar may be fixed without any notice, but a change any time that impacts meaning, facts, or context will have a visible correction notice attached to it.

How Corrections Are Handled: When we get a report about a possible error (through email, contact form, or direct outreach), we send our team to investigate it thoroughly. If it turns out that there is really an error, we revise the article and put a very clear correction note either at the top or bottom saying what was wrong, what the correct information is, and when the correction was made. For instance: “Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the date of the city council meeting. The meeting occurred on [correct date]. This was updated on [date].”

Social Media and Other Platforms: Errors that come up on social media will be dealt with in the same manner and on the same platform, usually by posting a follow-up correction that links back to the updated article.

Reporting Errors: We would like to get feedback from our readers, and that is why we always encourage them to let us know in case there are any inaccuracies. Feel free to reach out, including the details of the issue you have noticed. Being transparent in our corrections enables us to build a stronger relationship with the Redmond community.

Thanks for assisting us in maintaining the highest standards of local journalism.
