Redmond Police Sergeant Leah Ott Retires After 13 Years of Dedicated Service

Jan. 13, 2026 — Redmond, WA The Redmond Police Department announced the retirement of Sergeant Leah Ott following 13 years of service to the community.

The department shared the news via social media posts on Instagram and Facebook, congratulating Ott on her well-earned retirement.

Ott joined the department in 2012 and held various roles, including Patrol Officer, Neighborhood Resource Officer, Bike Officer, K9 Sergeant, EVOC and PTI Instructor, CDU team member, and Training Sergeant. She was promoted to Corporal in July 2022 and to Sergeant in November 2022.
