A motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle crash at Redmond Way and 148th Avenue NE around 10 p.m. Thursday, according to local news reports citing the Redmond Police Department. The roadway was closed in both directions between 140th and 148th avenues for about five hours before reopening around 3 a.m. Friday.

The Redmond Police Department issued a traffic alert at 6:50 a.m. Friday, reporting officers were investigating a serious injury collision at the intersection.
TRAFFIC ALERT Officers are investigating a serious injury traffic collision on Redmond Way at 148th Ave NE. Both directions of Redmond Way are closed between 140th Ave and 148th Ave. Please avoid the area. Closure is expected to last into the early morning hours.
