June 29, 2025 — Redmond, Wash. Redmond police pursued a stolen vehicle early that morning around 3:30 a.m. on SR 520, where the driver failed to yield to a traffic stop, crashed the car at the intersection of NE 51st Street and SR 520, and fled on foot into nearby brush.
Officers spotted the stolen vehicle while on patrol and attempted to stop it.
The short pursuit ended when the driver lost control and crashed. An extensive search ensued, involving Redmond Police’s K-9 unit, drone support, patrol officers, neighboring agencies, and even Microsoft’s security team.
