Bystander Video Captures ICE Targeted Arrests Outside Redmond McDonald’s

Jan. 18, 2026 — Redmond, Wash. ICE agents conducted targeted arrests outside a McDonald’s in Redmond, a city east of Seattle, as documented in a bystander video posted by investigative reporter Katie Daviscourt.

The 7-second video shows agents in tactical gear detaining at least one individual near the restaurant. Daviscourt, who reports for The Post Millennial and Human Events, shared the footage at 21:20 GMT as part of a thread detailing multiple ICE operations that day in the Seattle metro area, including arrests in Everett and a traffic stop in Puyallup.

ICE made targeted arrests of illegal aliens outside of a McDonald’s in Redmond, a city just east of Seattle.

The post had garnered 240 likes and 20 reposts as of the latest data.

This incident aligns with heightened ICE activity in Washington sanctuary cities. A Reddit thread on r/redmond reported ICE presence at a McDonald’s on Redmond Way around Jan. 8, confirming sightings at 8:50 a.m.

Earlier operations in Redmond drew local attention. In November 2025, ICE arrested multiple people at locations including Bear Creek Village shopping center, outside Panera Bread, and a Home Depot parking lot, as covered by KING5.

Redmond Police verified the agents’ authenticity but did not participate, stating they do not cooperate with immigration enforcement. An ICE regional director noted an internal goal of 30 arrests per day across Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, doubled from 2024 levels.

Following those arrests, Redmond deactivated its Flock Safety cameras amid privacy concerns over potential federal access to data. City Council members expressed worries about community safety and human rights.

A separate video of masked ICE agents in a Redmond alley prompted calls for “No Secret Police” rules, including requirements for visible identification on officers.

No official statements from Redmond Police or ICE Seattle were available on the Jan. 18 McDonald’s incident as of Jan. 19.
