Jan. 21, 2026 — Redmond student Liam Valentin wins a district-level award in the Reflections Art Contest for his music composition entry, “I Belong in The Beats. The composition earned the Outstanding Interpretation award and will advance to the state-level competition.
The Emily Dickinson PTSA announced the achievement on Facebook, highlighting Valentin’s recognition for his work.
The post noted that his music stood out among entries from across the district, and the award reflects his creativity and dedication to the arts.
As part of the celebration, families are invited to attend a Reflections Open House on Friday, January 23, from 5–7 PM at the LWSD Resource Center in Redmond Town Center, where attendees can hear Valentin’s composition.
Additionally, visual artwork from the contest will be on display at the Resource Center from January 21–26 during regular business hours.
PTSA thanked all students who participated in this year’s contest, noting that visual entries will also remain on display in the school library until the end of the school year.
Valentin’s award highlights the talent of Redmond students and the importance of supporting arts education.
