Bellevue’s Edgeworks Hosts Open Window School Students for Confidence-Building Climbing Experience

Jan. 2026 – Bellevue, Wash. Third-grade students from Open Window School visited Edgeworks Climbing Bellevue last week as part of a school-organized physical education field trip focused on rock climbing.

According to Open Window School, the trip was led by Lower School Physical Education Teacher Coach V. Students participated in supervised climbing activities designed to encourage physical movement, teamwork, and personal challenge.

Coach V said students demonstrated courage and determination throughout the visit, with many climbing higher than they initially expected.

Students were observed encouraging classmates and celebrating successful climbs together.

The school stated that the field trip was part of its ongoing physical education program and provided students with an opportunity to build confidence in a structured, off-campus environment.
