Jan. 26, 2026 – Redmond Chelsey Fuller, an executive chef with Chartwells Food Services, is using her culinary background in Redmond to help inspire students through nutrition and scratch cooking in the Snohomish School District.
According to a staff spotlight shared by the Snohomish School District, Fuller is currently in her third year working in school food service and serves as the district’s executive chef.
In this role, she oversees all district kitchens and manages every aspect of school food and nutrition, including writing menus that meet nutritional guidelines while appealing to students.
Before joining the district, Fuller spent several years building her culinary career in Redmond.
She worked as an executive chef at Microsoft’s Redmond campus for seven years, following an earlier role as a general manager with Wendy’s, where she worked for nine years.
The district said this experience provided her with a strong foundation in large-scale food service, nutrition, and kitchen management.
Fuller shared that a key part of her work involves educating kitchen teams on nutrition, scratch cooking, and culinary techniques. She also enjoys teaching students how food can support both physical health and learning.
She noted that interacting with students is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role, especially receiving honest feedback about meals.
In addition to managing food services, Fuller said she enjoys introducing new food concepts and making school meals more engaging.
She views her work as a way to positively influence students’ daily experiences by providing nutritious meals that help fuel their bodies and brains.
The Snohomish School District continues to highlight staff members like Fuller through its “Meet the District Staff” series, recognizing those who support student success both inside and outside the classroom.
