City of Redmond Accepting Entry-Level Firefighter Test Scores Through March 15

Feb. 6, 2026, Redmond, The City of Redmond is accepting Entry-Level Firefighter test scores through March 15, giving people who have already taken the National Testing Network exam a clear window to get their results in front of the department.

All score submissions must be completed through the National Testing Network.

After the city reviews scores, candidates who meet the department’s thresholds will receive an invitation to apply formally to the City of Redmond.

The recruitment notice says typical next steps include a written application, department-specific assessments, interviews, and background checks.

The push to collect NTN scores is part of the fire department’s ongoing effort to keep crews staffed across the city and King County Fire District 34.

The department’s stated mission is to “continuously protect and preserve life and property through quality education, prevention, disaster preparedness, and rapid emergency response” in its service area.

The fire department also said the current recruitment effort is aimed at identifying people who can help deliver on that work.

If you’ve already taken the NTN exam, this is mainly an administrative step, but a necessary one.

Make sure your testing profile is up to date and that your scores are available to the City of Redmond through the National Testing Network portal.

Only scores submitted through NTN will be reviewed, and the March 15 deadline is firm.

Questions about eligibility or the submission process can be sent to the fire recruitment team at fdrecruitment@redmond.gov.

The department recommends checking the City of Redmond website for additional details and for any changes to the hiring timeline.

For people thinking about a career in the fire service, this window makes it easier to move from testing to consideration by the department.

For the city, it provides a structured way to identify candidates who already meet basic testing standards and who can be moved into the next phase of hiring.

Redmond, WA, Fire Department also listed several other vacancies on their website, including Public Safety Telecommunicator, Police Officer, and so on.

If you are eligible and looking for a job around Redmond, you can apply easily.
