Jan. 20, 2026 — Redmond, WA — Francesca’s, a Houston-based women’s fashion retailer, has begun liquidating its inventory and shutting down operations at all approximately 460 stores nationwide, including the location at Redmond Town Center (7330 164th Ave NE, Ste E133).
A Facebook post in a local Redmond group on Jan. 18 first reported liquidation signs at the store, alerting residents two days before national confirmation.
Multiple outlets reported the full closure on Jan. 19-20. According to The Hill, the move follows a 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy in which the chain closed about 140 stores. TheStreet highlighted sudden liquidation sales amid broader mall retail challenges.
Francesca’s customer service confirmed to Women’s Wear Daily callers that the retailer is “liquidating inventory and closing soon.” A bankruptcy filing is expected but has not yet been made public.
People magazine noted the chain’s 25-year history and advised shoppers on taking advantage of sales. The Houston Business Journal and Austin American-Statesman reported local impacts near the company’s headquarters, affecting 457 stores.
The Redmond store remains listed on the Redmond Town Center website and Francesca’s store locator, though these appear outdated amid the wind-down.
Coverage on X echoed national reports, with posts from @statesman, @wfaa, and @TheStreet sharing details on closures and sales tips.
The prior 2020 restructuring case is tracked on Stretto, but no new filing details were available as of Jan. 20.
