Jan. 16, 2026 — Jacksonville Beach, Fla. Henry Tenon pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2022 killing of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft senior design manager, as part of a plea deal in which he agreed to testify against the alleged masterminds.
Bridegan, 33, was shot multiple times on February 16, 2022, after stopping his vehicle to move a tire blocking the road following a child drop-off at his ex-wife’s home. His 2-year-old daughter was in the car at the time, unharmed. The incident occurred on Jacksonville Drive near Sanctuary Boulevard.
Tenon, 61, was arrested in January 2023 and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, second-degree murder, and accessory after the fact. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty, with other charges dropped. According to court documents, Tenon was hired by Shanna Gardner, Bridegan’s ex-wife, and her then-husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana.
Gardner and Saldana were indicted on first-degree murder, conspiracy, solicitation, and child abuse charges. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, with their trial scheduled for November 2026 per recent updates.
Bridegan worked at Microsoft, based in Redmond, Washington, though the murder took place in Florida amid a custody dispute. Gardner was arrested in Washington state.
Tenon led investigators to Gardner and Saldana, but recent testimony suggests he may have changed his story, as reported in November 2025 by Court TV.
The case has drawn attention due to the alleged involvement of checks with ‘good luck’ notes from Gardner to Tenon.
