Feb. 2, 2026 – Redmond, Wash. Overlake School’s boys basketball team wrapped up a challenging week of conference play with competitive performances against Bear Creek and Cedar Park, as the Owls continue preparing for the upcoming winter season playoffs.
The Owls faced Bear Creek in a rematch following an earlier December loss. This time, Overlake stayed competitive throughout the game, trading runs and keeping the score close before Bear Creek pulled away late for a 54–48 win.
According to the coaching staff, the game showed clear progress, with Overlake responding well after struggling in the first meeting between the two teams.
Despite a low shooting percentage from three-point range, Overlake remained in contention through strong defensive effort and balanced play, finishing the game with positives to build on heading into the final week of conference action.
Later in the week, Overlake traveled to Cedar Park for the Eagles’ senior night.
The Owls controlled the game early and maintained momentum throughout, opening up a double-digit lead and securing a decisive road victory. Multiple players finished in double figures, and the team rotated extensively as the game progressed.
As of this week, Overlake holds a 13–5 overall record and sits among the top teams in the Emerald Sound Conference. The Owls are ranked ninth statewide and remain in position for postseason play, with one week remaining before conference tournaments begin.
Overlake is scheduled to face Kings next in a key road matchup, with playoff seeding implications on the line. The game will be available for live viewing through the NFHS Network.
