Jan. 7, 2026— Redmond, Wash., author and educator AJ Bishop-Andrews released a new book titled Rich Like Her, marking an important milestone in her writing career and offering a different perspective on how women define success.
On the launch day, she shared a Facebook post in which Bishop-Andrews chose to approach the release in a personal and reflective way rather than through traditional, high-profile promotions.
She said early planning discussions included ideas such as large launch parties and high-visibility advertising, but she ultimately decided to focus on spending time with family, friends, and daily routines that matter most to her.
Bishop-Andrews spent the day talking with her mother, having coffee with her husband, walking her dog in the rain, and reflecting on social media. She also prepared for the college course she teaches each quarter and reached out to friends and former coworkers to thank them for their support and to ask them to share the book with women who may connect with its message.
In her post, Bishop-Andrews stated that Rich Like Her is about redefining success in a way that feels personal rather than performative.
She shared that for many years she believed success needed to be loud and public to be meaningful, but writing the book helped her recognize the value of honoring her own priorities.
The author noted that regardless of how widely the book is received, publishing it represents the fulfillment of a long-held personal goal.
She described the release as crossing off a bucket-list item, keeping a promise to herself, and stepping into a new chapter on her own terms.
Bishop-Andrews said she shared her experience for women who feel drawn to a different definition of success, emphasizing that choosing a quieter or more personal path does not mean doing things wrong, only differently.
