Redmond Falls 65–37 to Lake Washington, Drops Third Straight as Kangaroos Dominate Despite 12 Points from Yuki Willis

Jan. 23, 2026 – Redmond, Wash. Redmond High School’s girls basketball team fell 65–37 to Lake Washington High School on Friday, marking the Mustangs’ third consecutive loss.

The game was not expected to be a loss for the Redmod High.

The loss came as Lake Washington’s Kangaroos, ranked higher in the state standings, controlled the game throughout.

Redmond entered the matchup ranked 85th in Washington, while Lake Washington was ranked 11th at the time of the contest.

Despite the result, Redmond received contributions from multiple players on offense. Yuki Willis led the Mustangs with 12 points, while Sofia Locati recorded 15 points and six rebounds.

With the defeat, Redmond’s overall record dropped to 7–12. Lake Washington improved to 14–6 and has won five of its last six games.

Redmond is scheduled to host Woodinville at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Washington will travel to face Mount Si at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
