Redmond, WA – Residents interested in sports, photography, or the growing excitement surrounding World Cup 2026 will have a unique opportunity this month as the City of Redmond hosts a free community speaker event focused on sports photography.
The event, Futbol for All Speaker Series: Sports Photography with Corky Trewin, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Aloft Seattle Redmond hotel in the Overlake neighborhood.
Admission is free and open to all community members, though advance registration is required and tickets are limited.
Corky Trewin, one of the official team photographers for Sounders FC, will lead the session.
A graduate of Redmond High School, Trewin has built a professional career capturing high-energy moments from the sidelines of Major League Soccer and other major sporting events.

During the talk, Trewin will share insights into his career path, the realities of photographing live sports, and the techniques used to capture fast-moving action in challenging environments.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cameras, as there will be time to discuss recommended camera settings, equipment choices, and practical tips for improving sports photography skills.

The Speaker series is part of Redmond’s Futbol for All program, a community initiative created to celebrate soccer’s global impact and to help prepare residents for the excitment surround World Cup 2026, which will include matches hosted in the Seattle region.
This particular event is presented in partnership with Amazon and the Port of Seattle, reflecting the broader regional collaboration underway as the Puget Sound area prepares to welcome international visitors and global attention during the World Cup.
