Jan. 25, 2026 — Redmond, The City of Redmond is hosting a new round of its “Fútbol for All” Speaker Series as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring two upcoming events led by sports media and photography professionals.
According to a Facebook post from the City of Redmond, Washington, the speaker series is presented in partnership with Amazon and the Port of Seattle.
The program is designed to celebrate soccer and help prepare the community for the global event scheduled to take place across North America in 2026.
The first event, titled “Talk Sporty to Me,” will take place from 6–8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. The session will be led by Jen Mueller, a local broadcast veteran.
Attendees will learn communication strategies aimed at improving workplace conversations and relationship-building, with examples drawn from the world of sports.
Likewise, the second event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6–7:30 p.m., and will focus on sports photography.
Corky Trewin, an official team photographer for Sounders FC and a graduate of Redmond High School, will lead the session. Participants are invited to bring their cameras and discuss recommended settings, techniques, and industry insights with Trewin.
Both events will be held at the Aloft Seattle Redmond in Overlake. The city stated that light snacks will be provided, along with a cash bar and prize drawings.
To make the event more organized, free parking will be available in the hotel’s garage, and attendees are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation when possible.
The host has made registration mandatory for both sessions. Interested community members can sign up through the City of Redmond’s official website.
The “Fútbol for All” Speaker Series is part of the city’s broader efforts to engage residents and build excitement ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
