Jan. 15, 2026 — Redmond, Washington The Redmond Police Department launched the RPD Incident Updates webpage to provide the public with timely information on significant incidents, including homicides, areas with major police presence, road closures, and other urgent notifications.
The new resource supplements the department’s social media channels on Facebook, X, Instagram, and Nextdoor, but does not list all incidents. For comprehensive data, the RPD directs users to its online crime map.
The City of Redmond announced the launch on X in a post viewed more than 200 times, stating:
The Redmond Police Department (RPD) is excited to launch the RPD Incident Updates webpage – an easy-to-access resource that provides the latest information on incidents in our community. Examples of potential incidents to be listed on the webpage include significant crimes (i.e., homicide), areas with a major police presence, road closures, or other urgent notifications. Incidents appearing on the webpage will continue to be posted on Redmond Police Department’s social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, and Nextdoor).
Incidents captured on the RPD Incident Updates webpage are not a complete list of all incidents that occur in Redmond. For information on incidents not listed on the webpage, please reference the online crime map.

As of January 16, the webpage lists no active updates under January but captures “certain significant incidents with ongoing developments, urgent notifications, or other updates and clarifications.” The resource is now featured under resources on the RPD’s official page.
