Redmond Police Investigate Domestic Violence Shooting at Apartment Complex

Jan. 14, 2026 — Redmond, Wash. Officers and detectives responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 11400 block of 183rd Place NE around 9:30 a.m., where a male victim sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound to the leg in a domestic violence incident.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where detectives are interviewing him, as detailed in an Instagram post from the Redmond Police Department. Officers remain on scene searching the area for the suspect.

Police do not believe there is any danger to the public. Nearby Einstein Elementary was secured out of an abundance of caution.

Officers and detectives are on the scene of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 11400 block of 183rd Place NE that occurred around 9:30 a.m. A male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a local hospital. Detectives are interviewing the victim at the hospital, and police are searching the area for the suspect. We don’t believe there is any danger to the public, as the incident was related to domestic violence. Einstein Elementary was secured out of an abundance of caution. The department emphasized that updates will be shared as the investigation progresses. A similar domestic violence-related shooting at a Redmond apartment complex near the area was reported in March 2025, also involving a man injured in the leg.
