Redmond Police Officer Uses Outreach Program to Buy Hungry Man’s Meal, Hand Warmers After Safety Stop

Dec. 23, 2025 — Redmond police gave a man a warning after officers saw him walking in a roadway and later bought him food, a drink, and hand warmers on a cold day, according to the Redmond Police Department.

Police said the man told officers he was hungry and asked if any food was available.

Using a Blue Bridge Alliance card, officers purchased food and a drink for him at a local 7-Eleven and provided hand warmers.

The Blue Bridge Alliance is an outreach program used by law enforcement to assist people in need.

The department said the man was grateful for the food and warmth, noting the interaction as a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
