Jan. 16, 2026 — Redmond, Wash. The City of Redmond announced a public “Let’s Get Match Ready: World Cup Information and Strategy Session” on Monday, February 9, 2026, to prepare local businesses, organizations, and residents for the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in the Seattle region.
The event, highlighted in the city’s weekly City News Now video update released January 12, will run from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St. Networking begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. presentation covering public safety and emergency management planning, match-day preparations including staffing and operations for increased visitors, business and community participation opportunities, and insights from Seattle Sounders legends James Riley and Brad Evans on World Cup teams.
Light refreshments will be provided, and attendance is free with registration available via Eventbrite.
