Redmond’s Classic Qualifier Sees Local Family Balancing Coaching and Competition for Three Wrestlers

Heartwarming!

Jan. 12, 2026 — Redmond — Holly Binford wrote on social media that this winter’s wrestling season has been “busy” as she splits time between three children on two different teams and leans on family and friends for support.

She said she was in Sandy with the high school team this past weekend while her husband, Levi, was in Redmond with the younger squad for a Classic qualifier.

Binford said Westin competed in his third tournament of the season and qualified for the Classic, and that Harley has shown steady improvement with “some great moments where things are starting to come together.”

She wrote that the high school team planned to compete in Florence on Friday and Saturday, after which she and Harley would return to Redmond for The Classic on Sunday.

Supporting media, including Binford’s original post and photos from recent meets, can provide additional context and are available in her social feed.

Fundraiser seeks $500

There are a few days left in a fundraiser to support Harley and her wrestling team; organizers are trying to raise $500.

Binford said she is “honored to be part of this season” and asked for “any and all support” to help set the team up for next season.

She is also expecting the wrestlers to have great progress in the coming few years.

The post did not include explicit donation instructions; readers should consult Binford’s Jan. 12 post for links or contact details.

Community reaction to the post was positive. Whitney Wood commented that her family is also using a “divide and conquer” approach and wished the kids luck.

On the other hand, while Lynzee Statzer praised Binford’s juggling of both teams and said she was glad Westin qualified.

Binford’s account is the primary source for this report. All quotes and details above come from her Jan. 12 and 22 social media posts.
