This closure follows a separate collision on westbound Redmond Way near the 15300 block the previous day, Jan. 15, around 7:20 a.m., involving a Ford Focus and a semi-truck near 148th Ave NE. In that event, the car driver, a 53-year-old man, and his two teenage sons sustained minor injuries and were transported to EvergreenHealth Hospital.
Lanes were blocked until about 10:30 a.m., with police citing speed as a factor after the car passed on the right and wedged under the truck trailer.
Searches of recent Redmond government civic alerts and broader web results found no additional updates or matching news coverage for the Jan. 16 incident as of early Friday. Local traffic cameras are available at Redmond’s GIS traffic page.
