Dec. 4, 2025 — Redmond, Ore. — A Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrested 29-year-old Trent Michael Conley of Washington State following a manhunt near Terrebonne after he allegedly fled a rollover crash that injured a woman, according to the sheriff’s office.
Conley, wanted on a nationwide felony assault warrant, faces additional charges from the incident, including Kidnapping I, Rape I, Assault II, Strangulation, Felony Hit and Run, Misdemeanor Hit and Run, Reckless Endangering, and Reckless Driving, DCSO stated.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 1 a.m. near the Alpaca Ranch property on Odem Avenue south of Terrebonne, where deputies found a female victim injured and trapped inside the vehicle. Conley fled on foot, prompting a search involving K-9 units, multiple deputies, and Oregon State Police.
Residents were urged via Deschutes Alerts to stay inside, lock doors, and call 911 if they saw Conley, described as potentially armed and dangerous. The Terrebonne Community School closed for the day on advice from deputies, with bus routes suspended.
“At 7:50 a.m., Trent Michael Conley was arrested and taken into custody by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Oregon State Police, and other agencies,” DCSO posted.
“There is no longer a threat to the community.”
Conley was taken to a hospital after the arrest, with interviews of the suspect and victim ongoing on Thursday afternoon. He had not yet been booked into jail as of DCSO Public Information Officer Jason Carr’s update.
The manhunt centered on neighborhoods near Northwest Galloway Avenue east of Highway 97. Redmond Police Department shared updates on the incident.
