Washington Cathedral Launches Free “Wiggles at the Waterfall” Play Gym for Infants and Toddlers

Washington Cathedral in Redmond is opening its doors to families with young children by introducing a new community play program designed especially for infants and toddlers.

The church recently announced the launch of “Wiggles at the Waterfall,” a free weekly play gym aimed at providing a welcoming and engaging environment for children ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers.

The program will take place every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Washington Cathedral, located at 12300 Woodinville-Redmond Road NE.

Organizers say the initiative is part of the church’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community connections while offering a safe and enjoyable space where young children can play, learn, and socialize.

“Wiggles at the Waterfall” is designed as an interactive play session where children can explore age-appropriate activities that support early development.

The program will feature a variety of play equipment and open space for toddlers and infants to move freely, helping build motor skills, coordination, and social interaction.

Caregivers will also have the opportunity to connect with other parents and guardians in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

Church leaders say the program reflects Washington Cathedral’s broader mission of building community and supporting local families.

By offering the play gym at no cost, the church hopes to remove barriers that may prevent families from accessing early childhood play and social opportunities.

In addition to playtime, refreshments will be provided for families attending the sessions.

Organizers plan to offer drinks and snacks, allowing parents and caregivers to relax while children engage in supervised play.

The program is open to all families, regardless of church membership or religious affiliation.

Parents and guardians interested in attending “Wiggles at the Waterfall” can simply arrive during program hours, as no registration has been announced at this time.
